Why ArisePlusNews?
ArisePlusNews was born from a simple conversation and a growing belief that many readers were looking for something different from the modern media landscape.
During a discussion with Sydney-based commentator Brendon Beavan, the conversation turned to a frustration shared by many people who felt they were hearing the same stories presented through the same lens. They wanted a news service willing to challenge assumptions, ask difficult questions and explore perspectives that may not always receive mainstream attention.
That conversation became the spark that ultimately led to the creation of ArisePlusNews.
While readers may not always agree with every opinion expressed on these pages, the goal has never been consensus. The goal is conversation. We believe people are intelligent enough to form their own conclusions when presented with information, context and competing viewpoints.
ArisePlusNews exists to encourage curiosity, respectful debate and independent thinking.
Welcome to ArisePlusNews. Welcome to a world viewed from a different angle.
Championing freedom of expression, critical thinking, and responsible journalism.
We support freedom of expression, open inquiry, and respectful debate. At the same time, we recognise that these freedoms carry responsibilities, including a commitment to factual accuracy, fairness, and accountable journalism.
